Biography
Representative Craig Fishel, a Republican, represents the southeast portion of Springfield and Greene County (District 136) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2018.
In addition to his legislative duties, Fishel is a small business owner. He has owned and operated Fishel Pools for more than 42 years. He also served on the Springfield City Council, where he was first elected in 2013 and re-elected in 2017.
Fishel is an Eagle Scout and is a frequent volunteer for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. He has served as the VP of Properties for the Boy Scouts of America and as a board member for the Girl Scouts. Fishel has also served as a board member for the National Spa and Pool Institute (NSPI).
Fishel and his wife attend Springfield Second Baptist Church. He also serves as a deacon at First & Calvary Presbyterian Church, and as a trustee for King’s Way United Methodist Church.
Fishel is a graduate of Springfield Glendale High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Missouri State University.
Born in Lebanon, Missouri, Fishel currently resides in Springfield with his wife, Donna. They have two adult children and two grandchildren.
