Biography
Rep. Curtis Trent, a Republican, represents Southwest Springfield and the City of Battlefield in the Missouri House of Representatives. Curtis was elected to his first term in November of 2016.
Curtis is an attorney who practiced in administrative law concerning Social Security Disability. He also served as Deputy Chief of Staff to Missouri’s 7th District Congressman Billy Long.
Curtis grew up on a small farm in Southwest Missouri before attending Missouri State University in Springfield where he graduated summa cum laude with a major in Political Science and a minor in History. Curtis furthered his education at Saint Louis University School of Law and was admitted to the Missouri State Bar after obtaining a law degree.
Curtis is an active member of the Church of Christ and has worked in the Lord’s service as a song leader, prayer leader, and teacher. He is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, along with many other clubs and community groups.
