Biography
Representative Ann Kelley, a Republican, represents Barton, Dade, and parts of Jasper and Cedar counties (District 127) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected to her first two-year term in November 2018. Her seat was previously held by her husband, Mike, for eight years.
Prior to her legislative service, Kelley worked as an educator. For 13 years she worked as a middle school English Language Arts teacher with the Lamar School District. She also has owned and operated a licensed daycare.
Kelley is a member of the Chambers of Commerce for Barton County, Sarcoxie, Lockwood, and Greenfield. She also is a member of the NRA, Missouri Farm Bureau, and the Missouri State Teachers Association. Kelley also serves as a board member for the Barton County Ambulance District. Kelley and her husband attend Oakton United Methodist Church.
A graduate of Liberal High School, Kelley attended Missouri Southern State University where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Middle School Science and English. She also obtained a master’s degree in Curriculum and Middle School Reading and Writing from Grand Canyon University.
Born in Joplin, Kelley currently resides in Lamar with her husband. They have a son, Brenden.
