Biography
Representative John Simmons, a Republican, represents part of Franklin County (District 109) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2018.
In addition to his legislative duties, Simmons is a chiropractic physician who has practiced in Washington since 1992.
Simmons is a member of the Missouri State Chiropractic Association and the Washington Rotary Club. He is a former member of the Franklin County Republican Central Committee, and a co-founder of the Franklin County Young Republicans. Simmons is also a member of the National Rifle Association.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Union College and his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Logan College of Chiropractic Health Sciences in Chesterfield.
Born in Avon, Connecticut, Simmons now resides in Krakow with his wife, Nanci. They have three children. They attend St. Gertrude Catholic Church.
