AN ACT
To amend chapter 565, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to enticement of a child, with a penalty provision.
Section A. Chapter 565, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 565.151, to read as follows:
565.151. 1. A person commits the crime of enticement of a child if that person, for the purpose of engaging in lewd, illicit, or criminal conduct with a child, attempts to persuade or persuades whether by words or actions or both, any person who is less than fourteen years of age to enter a vehicle, building, structure, alley, or any other enclosed area so that the child is concealed from public view.
2. Nothing contained in this section shall prevent the lawful detention of a child or the rendering of aid or assistance to a child.
3. Enticement of a child is a class D felony.
