Biography
Rep. Jered Taylor, a Republican, represents western Christian County (District 139) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2014, and was re-elected in 2016.
Prior to his legislative duties, Rep. Taylor worked as a Field Representative for Congressman Billy Long. He also worked in retail management for six years.
Rep. Taylor has actively served his community by mentoring elementary students, working on Habitat for Humanity projects, fundraising for the Multiple Sclerosis 150 mile bike ride, and working as an Emergency Medical Technician.
A graduate of Hannibal High School, Rep. Taylor obtained a B.S. in Administration of Justice from Hannibal-LaGrange University. While at Hannibal-LaGrange, he was a member of Phi Beta Delta, a community service fraternity. He was also elected as the Student Body President.
Rep. Taylor currently resides in Nixa with his wife and three daughters. He and his family are members of Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church in Springfield.
