August 28 - Breakfast Meeting in Dexter, Missouri

Dexter –Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives Rod Jetton, R-Marble Hill, spent this morning having breakfast and talking with farmers from Stoddard County as part of his statewide agriculture tour. The Speaker was joined by Reps. Billy Pat Wright and Peter Myers as well as Senator Rob Mayer to talk with local farmers about agriculture issues and what can be done in Jefferson City to help.

“It was great for me and my colleagues to get to talk with farmers that are actually working in the fields and have first-hand knowledge of what needs to be done to make our agriculture industry as strong and as profitable as it can be,” said Speaker Jetton. “When we are in session it is hard for working folks to take time out of their schedule and drive all the way up to Jefferson City and tell us what they think about certain issues; so this is a great way for me to get the input I need to help craft legislation and make decisions during session.”
