10 Legislative Proposals that Will Move Missouri Forward Jefferson City – Legislators in the Missouri House collaborated with Missouri agriculture leaders during an agriculture summit at the State Capitol on Thursday. At the conclusion of the summit, Speaker Rod Jetton (R-Marble Hill) announced ten proposals that will bring focus to the House’s agriculture agenda next session. Yesterday’s summit and announcement came on the heels of Speaker Jetton’s three week tour of many of the state’s agriculture and agri-business industries. “These ten initiatives will give our agriculture legislation in the House a focus we haven’t had before,” said Speaker Jetton, “Agriculture is Missouri’s number one industry. So, there are few things more deserving of our dedicated attention and there are few areas we can focus on that will have a greater impact on the lives of Missourians than agriculture.”
Speaker Rod Jetton Set to Tour the State to Promote Missouri’s Agriculture and Agri-business Industries Jefferson City –Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives Rod Jetton will tour the state to promote Missouri’s number one industry, Agriculture. During the stops, Speaker Jetton will meet with local farmers and businesses to gain a better understanding of their operations and identify ways state government can better serve the agriculture community.
