Rep. Tracy McCreery, a Democrat, represents part of St. Louis County (District 88) in the Missouri House of Representatives. She was elected to her first two-year term in November 2014. She previously served one year in the House after being elected in the 2011 Special Election.
Prior to her legislative duties, Rep. McCreery was a district aide and a volunteer coordinator for state Senator Joan Bray and served in the administration of Governor Bob Holden. She has held positions in sales, sales training and management in the pharmaceutical, telecommunications and health care industries.
Rep. McCreery is a founding member of the Consumers Council of Missouri. She is a former board chair with Safe Connections and a former president of Olivette in Bloom. She also serves her community as a member of the Rescue and Restore Coalition and the Women’s Group on Race Relations. She volunteers with Prison Performing Arts. She was a big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri and a former PROMO PAC member.
Rep. McCreery is a 1985 graduate of Edison High School in Milan, Ohio. She received her B.S.B.A. in Marketing in 1989 from the Ohio State University.
Rep. McCreery was born December 26, 1966 in Norwalk, Ohio. She and her husband Thom Wham currently reside in Olivette, Missouri.
Prohibits candidate committees from transferring funds to relatives of the candidates
Changes the laws regarding taxation
Prohibits certain individuals from possessing a firearm due to domestic violence and requires police officers to remove firearms at the scene of a domestic violence call
Establishes the Missouri Earned Family and Medical Leave Act
Prohibits a person employed by an entity that has been investigated by state or federal authorities from being appointed as the commissioner of securities
Modifies provisions of law relating to the REAL ID Act of 2005
Applies the offense of unlawful possession of firearms to certain additional categories of individuals in possession of firearms
Specifies that the annual audit of the Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority shall be conducted by the State Auditor
Allows a health care provider to transfer a long-acting reversible contraceptive to a patient other than the patient to whom it was initially prescribed in certain circumstances
Changes provisions related to fees for repair of sewer service lines
Establishes the Solar Garden Project act and authorizes a tax deduction for solar gardens
Establishes protections for pregnant offenders and offenders who are in postpartum recovery while in custody at a correctional center or county or city jail
Changes the laws regarding consumer products so that certain manufacturers are required to provide repair information to certain individuals and businesses
