COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Higher Education by a vote of 18 to 0.

This bill deletes the provision that one of the 9 members on the board of curators at Lincoln University be a full-time student. A provision requiring the Governor to appoint a student representative to the board remains in the law.

FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill eliminates confusion in the appointment of a student representative to the board.

Testifying for the bill was Senator Rohrbach.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
