HB 572 -- School Board Elections

School boards, unlike certain other nonpartisan bodies, are not
currently permitted to forego their election when the number of
candidates is the same as the number of open seats. This bill
permits school districts with 1,200 or more students, when the
proper conditions are met, not to hold a scheduled election.
