HB 256 -- St. Louis County Special School District

This bill postpones the sunset date for the power of the St.
Louis Special School District board of education to operate
vocational programs from June 30, 1997, to June 30, 1998.  The
bill also creates a 10-member Joint Committee on Career and
Vocational Education in St. Louis County to review career and
vocational education in St. Louis County and to make
recommendations as necessary to the General Assembly. The joint
committee must be formed by July 1, 1997, and terminates on
December 31, 1999.

The bill contains an emergency clause.
