HB 288 -- BRUSH REMOVAL SPONSOR: Tate COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass" by Consent by the Committee on Miscellaneous Bills by a vote of 6 to 0. This bill applies requirements for brush control on property adjacent to county roads in Northwest Missouri to owners in non-- township counties. They currently apply to owners in township counties. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say this bill will allow county roads in non-township Northwest Missouri counties to have the same brush removal program as township counties. This program has been very successful and agreeable with county land owners. The only complaints have come from absentee land owners. Testifying for the bill was Representative Tate. Anne C.
