SCS SB 397 -- LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS SPONSOR: Stouffer (Schaaf) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Special Committee on Healthcare Facilities by a vote of 5 to 0. This substitute requires a signature on all documents for a long-term care facility license application to ensure that the documents are true and correct. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2008, FY 2009, and FY 2010. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that eliminating the affidavit requirement allows long-term care facilities to electronically file documents required by the Department of Health and Senior Services. Testifying for the bill were Senator Stouffer; and Department of Health and Senior Services. OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
