Summary of the Truly Agreed Version of the Bill

SCS SB 952 -- KANSAS CITY POLICE OFFICERS

This bill creates new classifications and salary ranges for
master police officers and master detectives and adds
investigators to the salary range designated for detectives and
police officers.

The Kansas City Board of Police Commissioners is authorized to
offer incentive pay of no more than 10% of the base salary earned
by police officers of any rank to those who are assigned duties
which are unusually demanding and require an extraordinary degree
of skill.  Currently, the board can offer no more than 5%.
