SCS SB 992 -- TRANSPORTATION OF ANHYDROUS AMMONIA SPONSOR: Cauthorn (Mayer) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Transportation and Motor Vehicles by a vote of 20 to 0. This substitute changes the specifications of containers approved for transporting anhydrous ammonia. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and FY 2007. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the bill will help prosecutors with cases dealing with the crime of possessing anhydrous ammonia.
