Summary of the House Committee Version of the Bill

HCS SCS SB 1091 -- COMMUNITY COLLEGE FACILITIES MAINTENANCE
FUNDS

SPONSOR:  Klindt (Parker)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Elections by a vote of 9 to 0.

This substitute clarifies that the annual appropriation for
maintenance and repair of facilities for community colleges is
exclusive of any capital appropriation, and the current cap on
these appropriations of 10% is also exclusive of the capital
appropriation.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and
FY 2007.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill simply clarifies the
law.

Testifying for the bill were Senator Klindt; and Missouri
Community College Association.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
