SCS SB 1006 -- MEMORIAL HIGHWAY SPONSOR: Goode (Page) COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Transportation and Motor Vehicles by a vote of 20 to 0. This substitute designates a portion of State Route 364 in St. Louis County as the "Buzz Westfall Memorial Highway." The highway will not include any portion of the Veterans Memorial Bridge. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and FY 2007. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this would be a fitting tribute to the late St. Louis County Executive Buzz Westfall who strongly supported and promoted the expansion of Page Avenue to relieve traffic congestion. Testifying for the bill were Representative Page for Senator Goode; and St. Louis County Economic Council. OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
