Summary of the House Committee Version of the Bill

SCS SB 804 -- CONVEYANCES IN JACKSON COUNTY

SPONSOR:  DePasco (Sanders Brooks)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Professional Registration and Licensing by a vote of 13 to 0.

This substitute authorizes the Governor to convey certain parcels
of state property held by the Department of Mental Health located
in Jackson County to the City of Kansas City.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that there are 13 pieces of unused
property located in Kansas City.  The state will give the
property to the city; and in return, the city will clean up,
beautify, and maintain the property.

Testifying for the bill was Senator DePasco.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
