AN ACT

To amend chapter 43, RSMo, by adding thereto one new section relating to compensatory time for members of the highway patrol.




Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the state of Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Chapter 43, RSMo, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 43.072, to read as follows:

43.072. Any member of the patrol, as defined in section 43.010, who works more than one hundred sixty hours in any twenty-eight-day pay period shall, at such member's option, receive either compensation time equal to the amount of time worked in excess of one hundred sixty hours, or shall receive pay at that member's regular rate for the amount of time worked in excess of one hundred sixty hours. The member shall exercise this option before the end of the twenty-eight-day pay period immediately subsequent to the twenty-eight-day pay period in which the compensation time or pay accrued.
