SB 907 -- Motor Vehicle Window Tint

Under current law, it is a Class C misdemeanor to operate a motor vehicle with certain vision-reducing material on the windows to the left or right of the driver unless a person obtains a permit from the Department of Public safety. This bill deletes the permit requirement and allows any person to use vision-reducing material on such windows with a light transmission of 35% or less, plus or minus 3%, and a luminous reflectance of 35% or more, plus or minus 3%.
