HB 2030 -- Electrical and Plumbing Licenses

Sponsor: Long

This bill allows any city, town, or village in any county of the
third classification, by ordinance, to license persons who
perform electrical or plumbing work for compensation within the
political subdivision. A license fee may be charged to
administer the licensing program. The political subdivision may
require the electrician to pass an examination before a license
is issued. Persons working for a utility, railroad corporation,
or working on a full-time basis on an employer's property are
exempt from obtaining a license.
