BILL SUMMARIES

INTRODUCED

HB 1979 -- Removal of Trash

Sponsor:  Wiggins

Under current law, municipalities are allowed, after proper
notice, to order property owners to remove weeds which have been
declared a nuisance.  This bill allows the same process for the
accumulation of trash in violation of a municipal ordinance.

The bill contains a penalty provision.
