Biography:
Rep. Chuck Gatschenberger, a Republican, represents the 108th House District (part of St. Charles County). He was elected to Missouri House of Representatives in 2008.
In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Gatschenberger is employed as a financial planner. Previously, he served as the Director of Academic Advising for the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
Rep. Gatschenberger attends Calvary West Church in Wentzville. He is a member of the Wentzville Rotary; Lake St. Louis Chamber of Commerce; Wentzville Chamber of Commerce; St. Charles Pachyderm Club; National Rifle Association; and Missouri Right to Life. In addition, he is a board member of First Step Back Home, serves on the Midwest University Board of Directors, and is a member and past president of Lake St. Louis Ambassadors.
Currently chairman of the Local Government Committee, Rep. Gatschenberger also serves on the Utilities Committee and Financial Services Committee. He has served on Appropriations-General Administration; Downsizing State Government, Higher Education, and Ways and Means committees. During the interim sessions, he was chairman of 911 Access (2011), and was a member of Government Bidding and Contracting and Local Government Issues committees (2012).
Rep. Gatschenberger is unwaveringly committed to two issues: He opposes abortion and he is committed to protecting our second amendment rights to keep and bear arms.
Rep. Gatschenberger earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
Born in Springfield, Illinois, he currently resides in Lake St. Louis. He has three daughters, Amy, Darla, and Megan.
