First Regular Session, 95th General Assembly
SIXTY-EIGHTH DAY, Wednesday, May 6, 2009
The House met pursuant to adjournment.
Speaker Pro Tem Pratt in the Chair.
Prayer by Msgr. Donald W. Lammers.
Almighty God, we thank You for a night of rest, and for the refreshing coolness of the morning.
You teach us in Your Holy Word: "Justice and justice alone shall be your aim..." (Deuteronomy 16:20). And in the Pledge of the Allegiance to the flag, we pledge "justice for all."
Today, in all our work, in our deliberations and debate, may justice be our aim.
Holy God, by Your grace and guidance, may the outcome of all our decisions be the pledge of justice for all.
We pray to You, who are Lord and God, forever and ever. Amen.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was recited.
The Speaker appointed the following to act as Honorary Pages for the Day, to serve without compensation: Blair Matzker, Nick Graves and Zachary Bolinger.
The Journal of the sixty-seventh day was approved as corrected.
SECOND READING OF SENATE BILL
