Biography
Rep. Clem Smith, a Democrat, represents parts of St. Louis County (District 85) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2010.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep Smith works as a Refinery Operator and Secretary of the Missouri Democratic Party. He is a member of the International Union of operating Engineers Local 399, the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists, and Albert Holman #179 F&AM-PHA. Smith also serves on the Executive Board of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.

Rep. Smith is a graduate of Clayton High School, and received his bachelor's degree from Columbia College.
